In my 33 years with the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department, I provided progressive leadership, innovation, and integrity as a change agent. I’ve worked with lawmakers, the public, inmates and victims to help end the jail-to-streets-to-jail revolving door for thousands of people who now are productive in their communities.
With Sacramento County, I served as a patrol deputy, supervisor, commander of the professional standards division, commander over the criminal investigations unit and chief deputy administering the county’s jails.
Most recently I’ve been chief of workforce development for the state agency that provides job training and opportunities that set men and women on a new path that keeps them from returning to prison.
I’ve helped bring law enforcement into sync with a public that demands both protection and accountability. Safer communities start with smart, principled, neighborhood-oriented leadership. That’s what I’ll bring. I would appreciate your vote to help me reform and modernize the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department.
